Screen had a protective film on it, and it seemed brand new except for a few streaks on the screen. I can't tell if that's normal or if it had been used and cleaned up, but it's not a big deal. To be honest, I was expecting the "matte" style screen instead of "glossy" since the description said it would send whatever is available. Well, I got the glossy screen, which is the same type the laptop originally comes with. Glossy screens tend to cost more, so this was a great deal!
