This is a good antenna for VHF/UHF. Had mine for over a year now. But i must say buying it from Amazon is not the place to get it. Shop around at places like Ham City, HRO, AES, and other ham stores. I bought mine from Ham City over a year ago and paid @185.00. O f course a year has went by and people in ham radio know just like anything else the price sometimes go up. Can't remember when prices went down except when they were trying to get these little Chinese Hand held dual band radios on the market. Now they have went up. Very please with the antenna. Might want to check out the Diamond F- 22A antenna also. It is a single band VHF for hams. It is 7/8 wave instead of 5/8 wave. Buy the Comet GP9 if you want VHF/UHF or buy the Diamond F - 22A if you want VHF only. Diamond also makes a F- 23 which is a dual band i think. But check it out you will like any of these i have mention on my review. Remember Height and location and good coax cable are the most important things in talking on air. P.S. Low SWR are right up there with the others i have talk about. Just shop around. I write this not to slam Amazon because i have bought many things from them over the years. But people want the best for less in these days where your money don't buy as much as it use to.
