PAC VCI-LPC2 Chrome Rearview Camera Review

My 5 year old Kenwood stereo requires a rear view camera with a cable and a connector other than the standard RCA connector. Because of this, I was real limited when trying to find a new rear view camera for my stereo after my camera suffered water damage and went out.

I purchased the PAC VCI-LPC2 Chrome Rearview Camera, which was the same camera I had before. The only difference between the new one and the old one was the pin connector on the short cable from the camera. It would have been a real easy 10 minute job to replace the camera if the connectors had remained the same. I had to replace the long cable running all the way to the stereo and I had originally hid the cable well. It took me 3 hours in the July sun to take my dash, door threshold, side panel apart and rerun the new cable thru all the cable protectors and obstructions under my truck.

I would suggest PAC quit changing their connectors to allow easier replacements but, the camera is sleek, stylish and works well.
