Overall this is a solid tripod. I like the weight as it adds to the stability and the padded bars make a world of difference in cold to frozen conditions. My fiance' also has this tripod and the bracket that keeps the leg from swinging too wide broke with little to no effort, which didn't stop me from buying mine btw. But it was still a bit surprising how easily the bracket snapped (I saw it happen, it was really a low effort accident). They do have a 10 year warranty though so we'll be testing that service out too =)

My requirements for my tripod are that it's heavy, durable, and not an eye sore when I shoot weddings or other events. This tripod lives up to those requirements and I would definitely buy another in my future should I need another one.
