This is a genuine pleasure of a ball head to use. Smooth and dependable. I use it on tripod and monopod to hold expensive Canon gear. It has not failed me in any way. The pan and tilt action is very smooth when adjusted correctly. While the bubble is small, it works fine. With the ball head, I don't really use the bubble indicator because uneven ground is not an issue anyway. In fact, I don't even consider the level of the tripod when using this head. I do not use this setup for panorama compositions, but for all other uses, this ball head works excellently.
