I am a wedding photographer, not super busy, but I shoot about one wedding a month. I have a Sunpak TR-2000 and I tried the SP Systems pack above. I love my Sunpak, but they are either discontinued or out of stock everywhere. Sunpak also was supposed to be coming out with a NiMH pack, but never did. Why am I talking about Sunpak? Because both Sunpak and SP Sytems share one trait...the importer/distributer has little to no information or support of the product. The folks at Sunpak (Tocad in NJ)don't have much to say when you call them. And there is NO info on the BKA website (the distributor for SP Systems) on this battery pack. BKA cares so much about this product, that there is NO marketing for it that I could find anywhere. On the web, magazines, trade shows...nothin.

That said, if you don't want or need support, then they both do the same thing. The SP pack is twice the size but half the cost.

I had trouble getting the SP pack to take a full charge and will be exchanging it for a new one. Maybe I just got a bad battery or something.
