OMAX 40X-1600X Binocualr Lab Compound Microscope with Double Layer Mechanical Stage Review

I picked up this scope for hobby use. Was pleased with the heft of it,and quite surprised by the size of some components.(the 100x objective is nearly as large as an old spark plug)I would have been pleased to see fewer plastic components(knobs and such)but have read online that most of the internal parts are metal,so at least there's that. The focus is smooth, as is the mechanical stage and the condenser lens.
The few slides I made looked excellent under 40,100,and 400x(cheek scrape dyed with food color and orange mold)Didn't try the 1000x oil because i had no lens paper to clean up with.Probably will soon,tho.
