I've been using this product for almost a year now. It has been a good receiver overall. But ... I just recently tried to use the HDMI inputs and ran into unexpected limitations: The receiver does not decode the audio from the HDMI sources so you have to hook up an additional digital audio connection from the source to the receiver. Unfortunately some sources don't have an alternate digital audio output(for instance most PCs that have HDMI) so HDMI for those devices really don't work with this receiver. This really doesn't make sense to me, why would anyone want to hook up HDMI and not get the audio into the receiver? In most places this device is used it needs the audio because it is what the speakers are hooked to. I really think Pioneer misrepresents this receiver when they say it supports HDMI.
