Morel Primo 104 10" 500W Primo Series Car Audio Subwoofer Review

Over the last 30 years, I've owned a lot of subs(as car audio is one of my hobbies). I dont know why this sub sounds soooo good, is it the paper cone? My last sub was a 10W3v3. Before that was a Boston G3. And before that I had a Boston Pro 10.5. As you can see, I like to spend $200.~ $300. on my sub. Almost always a single 10". This Primo sub is far better than any of my past subs. It's faster, tighter, punchy and blends well with the front stage. The Boston G3 played a touch lower, but it was in a different car, and ported. I have not heard the Morel Primo in a ported box, but if the spec sheet is any indication, It will play flat down to 35 hz, losing only 3 db at 30 hz. I cant say enough about the extreme sound quality of the sub. The downside is it needs a 1 qft box sealed, the upside, it only needs 1.1 qft for a ported box(3" x 11.6" port).

Also! The Morel folks thought there grills are worth too much, as to include a grill, wtf is up with that??

I paid $250. from Pacific stereo, but I've noticed Sonic has the 12" for $170. I feed it 300 watts RMS.
