Came already pre-assembled. Just need to screw back stand (had to look for woodscrews scattered all over inside of the box).

I put my 60 inch plasma on top of it and all HT-equipment (receiver, bd-player and HD DVR on lower shelf). Take a look to dimensions [...] and make sure your equipment fits especially if you have big receiver - mine one has less than half a inch clearance on top of the unit.
