This T60x is tough and reliable with plenty of torque for the average user and wont break the bank. It would be nice if it included a cartridge, but having the option to purchase a cartridge of personal preference works for me, it does come with a head shell so thats a plus. The slip mat that comes in the box is a bit too heavy for the platter when you try to spin back records. I highly recommend getting a nice light after market slip mat if you plan to do a lot of scratching or cueing with heavier vinyl. When spinning back records the table makes a clicking sound, which is normal. I have used the str8-60, str8-80 and this T60x and all of them brand new make the clicking sound when you apply pressure to the platter. Its like a clutch so you don't burn up the motor. This is a solid direct drive turntable for a 1/3 of the cost of a tech 1200. I have used both the tech 1200's, 1800's, and I always go back to Stanton. If you are a pro DJ performing regularly then get the Stanton str8-150's or tech 1200's but, for home use these T60x's are perfect and wont break the bank for a professional Direct drive turntable. Other reviews are a little harsh, these are built quality and worth the price...you can't expect a str8-150 or tech 1200 for $150 dollars.
