NUVI 2555LMT TRVL ASSIST Review

So far, I have used this unit for 15 hours, and am very happy and impressed. I have owned 2 previous Nuvi units - a 255W from about 5 years ago, and a 1350LMT from 2.5 years ago. The 255W was Ok at the time, but lacked features and required expensive database upgrades. The 1350LMT was at least two steps backwards. Very poor routing, lots of missing data - even after many updates - and the very annoying repeated and repeated and repeated "RECALCULATING" audio assault on the senses. All those issues are now resolved with the 2555. The visual interface is new and better, although I will have to relearn a few things. The slightly larger display - 5.0" Vs. 4.3" is just enough to handle the new "Photo realistic" display of intersection signage. If you hated Garmin before - as I did with the 1350 - I would recommend trying this one by buying from a source that will accept returns just in case you don't like it for some reason. I bought mine at a wholesale club that allows 45 day returns without penalty.
