The camera and monitor are quite effective for giving a good view of what is behind you. I like the switchable features of the on screen menu for changing the view to whatever you like. Do not
mistake this for a high definition system. It is adequate for my use though. One of the nice features is that it comes with all the accessories needed to make a complete hook up.
I have had back up cameras on all of my RV's for the last 15 years and they have become a required item for me. I recently purchased a RV without a back up camera. I like to be able to monitor my towed vehicle while traveling down the highway. Also, when backing into some tight places my wife goes to the rear to watch for problems and talks to me while I am backing up. There lies the problem, the system has no audio! It is stated in the advertisements that there is audio on the monitor and a A/V cable, it does not mention there is no audio on the camera. If I had realized this before I ordered I would never have ordered this system. I did not realize it until after it was installed. This is why I am disappointed. Be sure to read the fine print, if you can find it.
