Yes, the online reviews are true. This is an amazingly sharp lens. Unbelievable image quality for the price. I own several macro lenses including two copies of this lens. It is my favorite. True 1:1 macro. It is true the focusing can be a little loud sometimes but considering the price vs performance it's an awesome lens.
