After several trips to a major retailer to look at in-ceiling speakers and walking away upset over price and features, I chose these. I love the fact that they have a 12 degree woofer angle and dual tweeters. The quality is great for the low price. The sound is excellent and clear. They do need a powered subwoofer to fill out the sound, but every home theater needs one. I know Yamaha recommends that these be used as rear speakers, but I have them as speakers for all locations except center. I would not call these the high-end speakers some desire, but sound better than the other Yamaha 6.5", Polk, and every other speaker I've heard. I am running a 7.1 system with Sony receiver, PolkAudio sub, and a Yamaha center channel. The whole system rocks and is crystal clear. Movies sound terrific.
