The frame is all Solid wood as the description says. When I looked at the picture I thought that it had drawers instead of swing open doors. Seeing as to how the doors swing outward from the center I'm just waiting for them to just break off. I'll admit when I put it together they felt nice and solid though. But at the same time it's been very difficult to get them aligned with the magnets that keep the doors closed. So they don't look leveled. Also screwing in the magnets just didn't work out that well because when I tried tightening it the screw just kept turning non-stop so from my experience that shows the center board is made of compressed materials. This would have been perfect had the center board been solid as well. It came out of the box with some minor paint damage from the manufacturer. Overall it's ok.
Pros: The Solid wood frame and lightweight
Cons: Badly designed swing doors and compressed middle board
