I purchased these binoculars a few weeks ago and now feel like I can tell you about them. They are well built and quite sturdy. I was afraid they would be too heavy, but after using them just a short time I don't feel that way at all. They are quite easy to focus and this is the first pair of binoculars I have had that I can easily use while wearing glasses. That is a big PLUS! The image is spot on - very sharp and very clear. Looking at the moon with them is quite an experience. Looking into the night sky I see thousands of stars that I had not seen before. They are fantastic to see and to see so clearly. However, don't think you can use these binoculars to drill down to specific stars and see much more that a bright spot - I assume that is going to be true with about any binoculars. But, you can see them clearly and without any eye strain.I have been very pleased with this set and would recommend them wholeheartedly. The only negative I can think of is the case itself and the protective lens caps. The caps are well made, but the do not stay on the binos very well. Every time I pull them out of the case they fall off and I have to hunt for them. The double cap that goes across the eye pieces (one cover goes across both eye pieces) slips and slide and falls off all the time. I wish Pentax would put as much energy and thought into the covers and case as they do the binos themselves.
