I selected this product by price and function. It will work fine on a fixed focal length lens but it wont work at all on my kit lenses. Auto focus is, for the most part, gone. Dose not botheer me,
because I grew up in the film days. I have used this "doubler", as we called them in the past, many times. It functions just fine with my Nikon D3000 and 60mm macro lens. Do your homework and pair it with the right "PRIME" lens. That way you wont end up with a paper weight.

Pilot Sterling Collection Fountain Pen, Tiger Design, Fine Nib (63419) Review

Enjoying my purchase thru World Lux. Fast and quality service. The Namiki Sterling series is very unique in its wrought silver construction and unique etchings. It stands out across the room.

The medium nib is almost a fine point and feels a bit stiffer and less wet than my Parker Premium Deluxe medium. Like children, each pen is different and equally loved!

Product Description

As one of the thinnest and lightest notebooks in its class, the XPS M1330 is a truly portable notebook. How did we get so thin? Our optional LED display uses 32 tiny, white LEDs for a super bright, super skinny screen. Projected weight starting at just under 4 pounds (1.8 kg)3 and featuring next-gen technologies like optional embedded mobile broadband, slot load optical drive, HDMI connection, Biometric Fingerprint Security, the XPS M1330 is the last word in leading edge high tech.

Dell XPS M1330 13.3" Alpine Laptop (White) Review

This laptop appears to be very popular these days, but I found some drawbacks.
The speakers provide very, very low volume. Plan on buying external speakers if you want to hear music or watch movies. The power cord does not plug in the rear, like other DELL laptops, but on the side, making it less convenient to use on a desk, if you are using the AC adapter.
Compared to other similar sized laptops from other makers, it costs about $100 than similar laptops.
Had I known all this in advance, I would have purchased another laptop, instead.

Brady BM71-11-427 0.5" Width x 0.75" Height White/Translucent Color B-427 Self-Laminating Vinyl Bulk Roll Of Labels With Matte Finish For BMP71 Label Printer (5000 Per Roll) Review

Great for CAT5/6 LAN cables, RS232 cables, VGA cables, USB cables, KVM cables, etc. Probably not so good for single conductor labeling - it would wrap around quite a few times on 14 gauge control wiring.

I really like the professionalism. The yellow really looks good on grey, putty, and light blue cables. The laminate portion wraps around a couple times to protect the terminal transfer resin from wearing off. The BMP71 printer clearly prints your part #, description, etc. Makes it much easier to do over-the-phone end-user troubleshooting.

I'd give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the cost. The labels and ribbon (M71-R4300) end up being 71 cents for each label - not including depreciation on the printer. Ouch! But to us, it's worth the savings in time on the phone later. From experience, using paper labels that fall off in a year or two makes them essentially worthless.

Note: If you have really fat cables (large diameter), consider M71-33-427-YL instead.

Audix FP QUAD drum mic pack with 1 F6, 1 F5, and 2 F9 microphones Review

This has always been one of my pet peeves. A seller will sell a product for a below normal street price to suck you in, and then charge a ridiculous shipping and handling fee to bring the price back up with everyone else's. my wife ordered this for me for my birthday, so she didn't know. I could have gotten this same item on Ebay for $279.00 with FREE shipping.

Fader Filters 72mm High Definition Variable Neutral Density Filter Review

The Fader ND (HD) filter is a significant improvement over the previous version by the same company. My friend has the older model and I've seen it in use on her Canon 5D. The previous Fader ND filter was prone to banding and vignetting, which did cause a noticeable reduction in image quality. Neither banding or vignetting appear at any setting of the newer HD version. There is only a >very< slight color change as the filter is darkened down which makes obtaining (and maintaining) white balance much easier as well. I have used Cokin "neutral" density filters in the past and they are far from neutral! The glass on the Fader HD itself appears exceptionally clear when mounted on the lens, and does not appear to degrade the quality of the image at all. The rotation of the filter elements is smooth and feels very solidly constructed. Very importantly (to me, since I do not have a matte box) I was able to mount my lens hood over the filter (on both my 35mm prime and 85mm prime lenses). I can still rotate the filter by putting a finger down inside the lens hood - the rotation of the filter is smooth but solid and easy to accomplish even with the tip of a finger. I've used the filter for HDR composite photography and for 1080HD video and the results are fantastic! The lack of banding or vignetting is a huge improvement over the previous model and the extra $$ is money well spent! The ability to shoot wide aperture is a huge bonus to cameras with such large sensors, such as my Canon 5D. I've shot HD video at apertures as wide as f/1.2 in bright sunlight, with the shutter speed set to 1/50th of a second, and the results are nothing short of spectacular. This kind of footage was previously limited to massively expensive hollywood cameras (see the DSLR versus film shootout here: [...]). I've also used it to cause motion blur to waves at the beach (again in full daylight), with exposures as long as 30 seconds, with no degradation of white balance settings. This filter is very very very close to being fully 'neutral', works well, seems very solidly built and there are no surprises. It comes with a plastic case for care when not in use. An excellent product! 5 stars.
