Bushnell North Star 675mm x 4.5" Reflector Telescope w/Computer Star Locator Review

To bad about the previous reviewer. My experience has been just the opposite. The scope was easy to assemble and once aligned (only moderately tricky) it worked like a gem. I am able to see many stars and nebula in the city, but when I'm out in more rural areas with less light polution the stars come alive!!! This is great for a beginner!!! And is easy to align on deep space objects without being a pro!! I love it, the only downside is that I am so tired in the morning for work!!!! Buy this baby if you're on a budget but want high quality experiences with the stars!

MXL CR30 Large Diaphram Condenser Recording Mic w/Case and Shock Mount Review

I have owned the Audio Technica 4050, AKG C3000B, MXL V67G, MXL 4000, and a host of others. This mic by far has been my favorite in terms of the tone provided.

I upgraded from the MXL-4000 to the CR-30. Some people wonder why it would be an upgrade since it doesn't have the additional patterns (figure 8 and omni) or bass roll off. The answer to that is simple. In a home recording environment, I never used the other patters! Most home recording enthusiasts fight reflections off the floor, ceiling, and walls. In a true vocal booth, you can get some ambiance from a figure 8 pattern, but for your basic home user, it's difficult to tame.

There was no need for bass roll off from the mic because most people that record have access to parametric EQ where we can adjust the tonality to our taste.

So, what's the big draw? 20db pad. The 20db pad is great if you're recording horns or a 100 watt cab... neither of which I use in my home studio... but I have been playing around with levering this to reduce room and ambient noise. With a 0db pad, I can pick up the kids getting a drink of water in the kitchen from across the house. With a 20db pad, this goes away.

Anyway, I've found the mic to be very versatile. I've used it with both vocals and recording guitar amps and have been very pleased with the results.

Royce Leather Large Laptop Organizer Briefcase - Tan Review

The case would have been perfect, but the sizing through Amazon was incorrect. I have an 18.4 inch laptop screen that would not fit. Waiting for refund, but the company was very nce about the return. If a larger size was available, I would buy the same larger case from the same seller.

Westinghouse LTV-30W2 30" Progressive-Scan LCD TV Review

I've owned this TV monitor for six months now, and I am delighted with my purchase. I had been searching for a flat-screen TV that was reasonably-priced and had a good, sharp picture. I compared this TV in a store to several others in its price range. This was the clear winner. It has a beautiful picture and great sound. (I am pleased that my TV has no dead pixels, either.)

This is a monitor, not a TV, so you do need a cable box. I have a digital HD box through Adelphia cable. The HD channels on this TV are outstanding. The persons on screen might as well be standing in front of you. I have never tried to use this as a computer monitor, so I cannot speak to how it would work, but it is a wonderful TV. And, despite Westinghouse's reputation for having bad remotes, the remote control on this TV works well. It is very easy to switch from HDTV to regular TV.

All in all, I am delighted. My only regret is not having bought a larger Westinghouse TV -- but that would have meant paying much more!
