Needed to get a spool for running several CAT5 lines for our stores new VOIP Phones. The coating is very durable it was fed through concrete walls, steel trailers, over three ready mix plants and along the outside conduit of a fence. Our alarm and camera contractor was shocked at the quality and price of the product. Terminating the wiring was no problem since the copper wire and coatings were thicker and easier to work with brutal hands. The only problem is that the wire itself is stiff and doesn't coil very easily so expect big loops at the end of your runs if you leave extra behind.

I would buy again and recommend for contractors.

I looked really hard. I did my homework. This is an excellent receiver. It has countless ways to listen to your music, and videos. For me it is the best among other in its class. You can customize your sound if you want to or let the factory settings in place. It works with the I-phone if you buy the YDS-11 dock. It can convert all video signals to 1080i, so if your TV is 720p you don't need to buy one with 1080p up conversion, this baby will do a great job. You can hook up blue disk, or 1080p components and pass them thru (no upconversion) via HDMI. You can hook up up to 8 speakers+center channel + sub. Sound is superb, you can have very deep bass, and listen to your twitters rock simultaneously. With a harmony remote you can control all your components with a push of one button. The remote took a little while to figure out. To get the most of it don't expect to plug and play. Read the manual. Let the factory settings spoil you while you take your sweet time customizing it to your liking. Great buy.

Sanyo DVW-7000 Review

Sanyo has combined a very good DVD player with a very average VHS player in one unit and offers it at a very affordable price. I have two of these units (one upstairs and one down), and I am mostly pleased with their performance. The DVD player works fabulously. The only negative is the VHS player. On both of my units the picture on the VHS player has an annoying squiggly line at the top of the screen. No matter how much I try tracking the unit, I cannot get rid of the line. It seems to have a mind of its own, as it comes and goes, irritating the heck out of me. It also produces a mild audio static sound when it begins to vibrate.

The remote control is on the small side, but is easy to learn and use. I really like the front side input audio and visual jacks!

For the money, this unit is a good buy despite the VHS payer deficiency. I play far more DVD's than I do VHS tapes, as I am phasing the latter out, so the picture vibration in VHS mode is of minor concern. If you have a lot of VHS viewing, you may want to consider a different unit.

Brother MFC-8820D Laser Printer, Copier, Scanner, Fax Review

For our small office of 6 people, we have been looking for an office machine that is easy to operate, reliable, and cost-effective. The four contenders are HP 3330 MFP, Canon D680 imageClass, Brother MFC 9700, Brother MFC 8820D. They are all 4-in-1/5-in-1 machines(Fax, Laser printer, Scanner, Copier, Data/Fax modem) priced below US$800. Brother MFC 9700 is cheaper but comes with a 14.4k modem and only 8MB memory and a smaller flatbed; as the result it faxes and prints slower than MFC 8820D. The remaining three candidates all have excellent "pedigrees" and are well designed and built. However Brother MFC 8820D won at the end for the following outstanding reasons:1. The 'D' in 8820D stands for duplex copying and printing: It works seamlessly and effortless. There is no need for removing the paper tray manually (really tedious). Duplex "fax receive" saves 30% to 50% of paper by having fax printed on both sides. Now one can have some break from the cost of receiving junk faxes.2. 32MB memory: This is more than enough for holding a lot of copies and faxes. Very good for large unattended jobs. The best part about this is again about cost. No immediate need to spend more money for upgrading the memory as is required for Canon D680 (measly 2 MB).3. PC fax software for computer data/fax needs.4. Expandability for network interface.5. Digital paper count to indicate the no. of copies made and faxes received: good for cost management and safe guard against potential abuse of the machine by employees for personal uses.6. Excellent ADF (automatic document feeder): we have not had any paper jam so far.7. Very easy to program and operate: simple to use for beginners and sophisticated features for users who demand more advanced functions.8. Last but not the least is the cheaper cost for its toner on a per page basis.There are only two minor drawbacks for us:1. MFC 8820D's ADF/scanner does not scan a page from edge to edge. However this is true of all machines in this price range. Canon D680 omits the least at both margins. HP 3330 is the worst.2. Large footprint. We had to relocate it to a different room in the office where there is enough space instead of putting it at a more convenient place where there is easier access. Nevertheless it's not too bad considering that it replaces 4 separate machines all at once. I use this for a hair light in the studio. Fantastic focused light that I can place right where I want it in order to highlight a subject's hair.

Also found that I can use this for certain product shots--for example made a fabulous still life with a couple of wine bottles, grapes, and cheese wheel. Two of these softboxes standing vertically were used to creat soft "window" light looks on either side of the bottles. Fantastic!

Great product--see my other reviews--I LOVE Photoflex products because they're well made, great performers, and priced very reasonably.
