Good lens overall. With this reasonable price, it is a rare find. The mounting is metal, which looks and feels much better than the Nikon's plastic mounting, which is disappointing. This is good buy.

One comment on the bag that comes with the lens. It is a rather cheap bag with almost no padding so you cannot really carry the lens with it. To my opinion, it is better not to have a bag than having one that is useless.

I have had three of these units for a number of years and had no problems. One unit failed and was out of warranty. Since this USP is well priced I figured it was better to purchase a new one rather than spend shipping and repair costs on a 4+ year old unit. Well, the new unit failed within 24 hours and Amazon quickly shipped a replacement unit. I installed the replacement unit and powered it up. All was looking good, less than an hour later the unit failed. I powered it back on, and it shunt down in less than 5 minutes, powered on again, same thing. Requested another replacement and got an email back from Amazon indicating they would not attempt to replace it again and would be refunding the purchase price one the defective units were received. Not sure why Amazon would not replace it a second time. Other than that, they were great. In any case, very disappointed with the UPS even though I had good luck with these units in the past.

Disclosure: I bought the 460w model and I bought it elsewhere. Also, this PSU sits outside the case on its own pedestal. I have a zero-fan computer running and don't mind if I have wires everywhere. I'm sure it will run cooler outside the case than trapped in one w/o any circulation.

PROS:

Completely silent. Maybe the tiniest, faintest electrical hum with your ear RIGHT NEXT TO the PSU. Otherwise, 100% silent.

Extremely well-made. You're paying $xxx for a reason.

Modular cables are nice and present a clean appearance. Slightly stiff bc they're new, I imagine.

The PSU itself is very clean and professional looking.

It's heavy! Which, imho, indicates quality components. 80 Plus Gold must cost a bit in weight.

CONS:

If I wanted to unwrap quality from a silk bag, I'd buy some Crown (not that I drink it or consider it quality...)

As others have posted, this PSU is way overpackaged. I'd rather save $10-$20 and just have normal packaging. I don't need to feel like I'm unboxing a Rolex.

OTHER:

Took my Rosewill laser temperature gauge to it. Haven't had a reading over 115 deg F yet and that's aimed directly at capacitors, etc. The Rosewill will save the highest temp it encounters and dragging the laser left-to-right up-and-down over the entire PSU's internals hasn't yielded anything higher than 115.
