C2G / Cables to Go 41402 TruLink High Speed HDMI Active Optical Cable (AOC) Grey (15 Meters/49.21 Feet) Review

Let me just say that after reviewing all the other options this was by far the best product for my application. I have a video projector mounted on the ceiling, my receiver and Blueray/DVD components are located 35 to 40 feet of cable run distance away behind a cabinet door. The hookup could not have been made easier with the C2G Trulink. Just plug in the cable at both ends, be sure you have an USB for power on the projector side, and your in business. Sound and pictures are flawless. The cable is so much more flexible than HDMI that I'll most likely never buy an HDMI cable over 20 feet long ever again. I looked at high quality HDMI cables, and dual Cat5e/Cat6 cables for sending the data to to the projector, but really...this was by far the smartest way to go at that distance. The siffness of higher quality HDMI would not have allowed me to fish the cable through the ceiling spaces or make the tighter bends to the projector and source components. I highly recommend this product, it fully supports 1080P and 3D.

BenQ PB6100 DLP Video Projector Review

If you are looking for the best deal of any DLP projector out there, this is it. You wont find one at this price that performs better. It displayes SVGA video (up to 800x600) from the PC and HDTV formats 480p, 720p, 1080i. Using this for an entry level Home Theater is in my opinion the best application. As for PC, the resolution is a little lacking considering the size it will be projected to. The icons would be 6"+ depending on how big your shooting the screen. Bulb life in economy mode extends by about 1/3 from 2000 hours to 3000. Nice considering the bulbs are 400 each. BenQ has offered a couple different promotions in the past like free bulb or 100/200 (...) (so be sure and check to make sure before you buy). The thing that is most amazing to me is the refresh rate of 85hz (how fast it can paint the picture to the screen). That is pretty much as fast as you'll need for any application to avoid display problems, so playing games on this isnt a problem!For more info, check projectorcentral, they do reviews on everything that comes out. BenQ PB6100 and the PB6200 (xga version) are in the top 5 list of DLP's. Anyone planning to use this primarily on a PC, think about getting the PB6200 instead, its basically the same thing but displays the higher resolution XGA (1024x768) and for certain applications higher 1280x1024. Mamiya 645 105-210mm F/4.5 Uld (58ø) Review

I had my doubts about this 2:1 zoom for the Mamiya 645. Certainly the M645's 35mm wide angle is a real sharp lens, contrasty and distortion-free, which is quite an achievement, so with some caution I picked up the 105-210 zoom and tried it on various subjects, and to my surprise, I found it sharp, contrasty and distortion-free as well.

With my Epson 750 Pro scanner and chromes from this lens, I can generate images that would be impossible with a Canon full frame dslr.

Aoc L22W761 22-Inch LCD TV HDMI Tuners Review

I actually own the L22W861. I bought the L22W761 but quickly realized that it was more of a computer monitor than a TV. Check out [...] for more info.

One thing that is common between the 861 and 761 is that the sound is awful. If you have the 761 that is easily remedied by plugging in an inexpensive set of computer speakers for $20-30. However the headphone jack on the 861 is INPUT ONLY??!! After contacting AOC the only option on the 861 for audio out is SPDIF. (digital audio) Well that's great if you want to sink another $150-200 into a sound system that has SPDIF input.

Regardless I still went w/ the 861 b/c it has more TV like features. For example, there is a "LAST" button on the tv remote so you can switch between the last channel viewed. Check out the OWNERS MANUAL for each on the AOC website.

The picture is nice on both sets. This size tv works well for a small room or niche area.

If you can buy this for under $250 I'd say it's a "go". Overall I'm pleased with the performance after a couple months.
